We are excited to share the newest updates from the Streamline Connector Team. These include a brand-new workflow, Stock Check, and two enhanced workflows: Product Recommendations and Order Retrieval.


At Streamline Connector, we prioritize user feedback and strive to make our tools as user-friendly as possible. We noticed an increase in support tickets related to endpoints and JavaScript functions, which often required modifications to endpoints and parameters. To address this, we’ve simplified our templates. Now, the only parameter you need to input is your Shop ID (This is not your not Shopify ID). 


No endpoint modifications are required. For developers, don’t worry we still provide detailed technical documentation. All functionality can now be managed directly within the Voiceflow workflow editor, eliminating the need to dive into the function editor.


We’ve also added contextual notes throughout the workflows, offering tips and important information to make your experience as smooth as possible. Additionally, our updates incorporate Voiceflow’s latest features, such as the Prompt Step, to align with their guidelines and improve usability.

Shop ID: Your Key to Simplified Workflows



The Shop ID is a unique identifier for your shop and the only parameter you’ll need to input when using functions. Unlike in the past, there’s no need to modify endpoints or manage additional parameters. This ensures a streamlined and hassle-free experience.


Note: The Shop ID is not the same as your Shopify ID. You can find your Shop ID on any of the endpoint pages within the Streamline Connector app. Look for it under the section labeled "Shop ID" and copy it for use in your workflows.

By centralizing this single parameter, we’ve reduced complexity and improved accessibility for all users.




New Workflow: Stock Check



How It Works

Simply type in your Shop ID in the function step. The function will search for the product in your store by title and return an unordered list of all product variants along with their respective inventory quantities.


Key Updates

  • Data is now fetched directly from your store, ensuring it’s always up to date.

  • Voiceflow’s Knowledge Base is freed up for other uses, giving you more flexibility.

This workflow streamlines inventory management, providing accurate, real-time data for your operations.




Updated Workflow: Product Recommendations 

What's new

We’ve significantly improved how product recommendations are generated. Previously, recommendations relied on Knowledge Base searches using product data sent by our app. Now, the process is powered by AI, offering a more accurate and personalized experience.


New Process

  1. The bot collects a query from the user.

  2. Additional characteristics and details are gathered to refine the search.

  3. AI categorize the extracted information and the search is performed in your store’s synced and up-to-date database.

  4. A list with product details and a carousel is returned.




Updated Workflow: Order Retrieval



What's New

We’ve expanded the function’s capabilities to include both email addresses and order numbers for retrieving order information. Additionally, we’ve enhanced fallback flows to handle errors seamlessly.

Key Features

  • Dual Input Options: Users can now input either an email address or an order number.

  • Error Handling: Improved fallback flows help users correct typos or incorrect inputs. The bot can distinguish between an email address and an order number and respond accordingly.

  • Output:

    • If an email address is provided, the function retrieves all orders associated with it.

    • If an order number is provided, it retrieves the corresponding order.

    • Providing both parameters yields the same result as entering just the order number.
